*Work*

## The useful part is what changed.

Case studies should show the original problem, the constraints, the decisions made, and the evidence that the result worked. Everything else is decoration.

## Selected work

The work below includes one verified rebuild, one active consulting engagement, and three historical freelance projects. Each case study identifies what is measured, what is still in progress, and what the surviving project record can honestly support.

- [Building an e-commerce store for a specialized tool business](/work/retro-glass-tools-ecommerce-build) — Retro Glass Tools needed a complete e-commerce foundation for a specialized catalog. The Magento storefront was built from the ground up and tested over roughly two months.
- [Building an online home for a collector's business](/work/collectorholics-ecommerce-project) — Collectorholics brought toys, antiques, and collectibles into one online storefront. The initial build used the power of OpenCart. Over the years it evolved with the times and the need to be an e-commerce platform within a WordPress blog using WooCommerce, and involved our early search and social experiments.
- [Connecting an independent record label to its audience](/work/loft-nine-records-wordpress-project) — Loft Nine Records needed more than a static music website. A commercial design was adapted into WordPress and connected to tour information and social channels for an independent artist.
- [Turning missed home care calls into a follow-up system](/work/crown-home-care-consulting) — Crown Home Care Services had several visible technology problems, but the real issue was the path from a new inquiry to a human response. This active engagement is mapping that path before automating it.
- [A plumbing contractor replaces a website that kept going down](/work/true-blue-plumbing-stabilization) — True Blue Plumbing: a split-DNS repair, a migration to managed hosting, and a rebuild that cut the homepage from 438 KB to 132 KB, delivered in eight days.

## About the work shown here

Ariadne Ops is a new practice built on experience delivering small freelance projects, leading larger platforms, and guiding technical programs elsewhere.

Older projects do not always leave clean analytics or complete records behind. When a measurement can be verified, it is included. When the available evidence only supports describing the work, the case study says that plainly.

A smaller honest record is more useful than a wall of anonymous transformation claims.
